Oleksandr Khatskevych is one of the country's leading experts in the gambling and lottery business. He is currently holding the position of Managing Partner at the PrimeLex Law Firm. He is also a member of the Ukrainian Association of Gambling and Lottery Operators. The organization stands for the effective and thoughtful legalization of the gambling market in Ukraine and the operators’ movement from the shadows into the field regulated by the state.
The expert takes part in thematic forums and meetings. His thoughts are published by leading profile and news media: Login Casino, Liga.Biznes (League.Business), NV Biznes (NV Business), Ukrinform, and others. Oleksandr Khatskevych participated in the round table of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future “On legislative regulation of the organization and conduction of gambling activities in Ukraine.” The expert believes that one of the key tasks of the government is to legalize the Ukrainian gambling market and at the same time create loyal conditions for the work and development of domestic operators.
In 2020, Oleksandr Khatskevych took an active part in the discussion and development of the draft law “On State Regulation of Activities on Organising and Conducting Gambling.” After the adoption of the law, he joined the working groups to discuss the necessary amendments, bylaws, changes in tax legislation, without which full-fledged launch and effective work of the gambling market of Ukraine is impossible.
